Adrienne Scott

Adrienne Scott (Chogan, or Blackbird), a tribal member originally from New York City, is an educator and editor and is currently a content writer for the Pocasset Pokanoket Land Trust. She was the first BIPOC news reporter for WPRI-TV, Providence, Rhode Island and the first BIPOC female in the market and later did public relations work in healthcare and business, ultimately editing an internal newsletter for IBM, Bethesda, Maryland. She taught English composition, language and literacy, in community college, adult education centers and tutoring programs in Boston and in Northern California, where she focused on Indigenous youth. She currently lives in the greater Sacramento, CA area.
