Seeking RI Forest Land Owners for Free Forestry Management Plans and Assistance

Assistance may include thinning, slash fences, management of invasives or pests, prescribed fire, and carbon markets

Pocasset Pokanoket Land Trust (PPLT) is partnering with the Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management (RIDEM) to engage private forest land owners from historically underserved communities, with the goals of creating better outreach and resources, and giving PPLT and RIDEM better understanding of forested lands within Rhode Island, making forestry planning simpler for future state projects.

The historically disadvantaged landowners that we aim to support are BIPOC, LGBTQ, first time landowners, owners with fewer than 10 acres of land, women, and Veterans.

Program Area: Only available to Rhode Island residents

Qualifications: Private Landowner within the state of Rhode Island
