Musquant Nompashim Netas (aka Rocky Johnson) is the Chief of the Ninigret Nehantick Nahaganset Clan. Rocky leads our Indigenous Food Sovereignty program, serving marginalized communities in Rhode Island and Connecticut.
His farming techniques are traditional Native American, and he provides hands-on training to those he supports. Rocky has always enjoyed farming since his grandfather taught him as a young boy and he appreciates the ability of food and gardens to bring people together.
